This is my latest large encaustic work.Created using a special electric iron and coloured beeswax on thin perspex.
Strange things happen when you mix beeswax and heat--in this instance 'mystery men's face's have appeared in the centre of the painting! There are several other smaller faces in the painting too, but you may find even more when you look at it. In TWO FACED the eyes seem to follow you around the room-quite spooky and quite a conversation piece to have hanging on your wall.It has been framed in a beech frame to complement the finished painting. Each piece of art created in this way is completly unique due to the nature of the melted wax.
